The high school where author Yayoiso studied is the official model for Aoba High School. The anime credits explicitly acknowledge the school as a setting cooperator. The main facade, the tree-lined entrance gate, and the gymnasium layout are faithfully reproduced from episode 1. The shrine preserves a famous local legend about a terrifying demon forced to build a 100-step stone staircase in a single night to save itself; however, as the rooster crowed at the 99th step, the demon fled in terror. It shares the "Kamado" name and features beautiful dragon ceiling paintings that resonate with Tanjiro's water breathing techniques.

It is the model for the flooded ruins where Suzume finds the first 'door' at the start of the film.
