Anime in Shizuoka

Numazu's city station, the gateway to Aqours' world and hub of the show's urban scenes. The area is full of collaborations, character panels and themed shops.

The covered shopping arcade next to the station appears throughout the series. Many shops display Aqours panels and sell collaboration goods; it's the heart of the pilgrimage in town.

A historic 1868 inn on the Mito coast (Uchiura), a registered Cultural Property. In the series it is the home of protagonist Chika Takami; the seaside wooden building facing Mt. Fuji is reproduced almost exactly.

The tourist center for the Uchiura area appears briefly in the series and has become the pilgrims' headquarters, almost entirely taken over by Aqours displays and merchandise.

A small island in Uchiura Bay, with an aquarium, hotel and shrine. In the series it is tied to Mari Ohara and Yoshiko/Yohane; the island's hotel is the model for Mari's mansion.

The school on the Nagaisaki hill in Uchiura is the model for Uranohoshi Girls' High School that Aqours fights to save. Its silhouette overlooking the bay is one of the series' most iconic images.

A hilltop park overlooking Numazu, Suruga Bay and Mt. Fuji. It appears in series materials as the panorama of Aqours' city.

Numazu's fishing port and its large Byūo observatory floodgate appear in the series. It's one of the most recognizable seaside images of Aqours' city.

Itō Station, the gateway to the coastal town Futaba arrives at from Tokyo, and the start of the Izukyū line that runs along the Izu coast in the series.

A real Itō high school that is the model for the fictional Yumegaoka High that Futaba and Pikari attend; even its bus stop is copied from the Itō High bus stop. A working school.

A small Izukyū-line station in the Kawana area, a stretch of diving coast near Itō that appears in the series' journeys and outings.

A 48 m suspension bridge over the lava rocks and rough sea of the Jōgasaki Coast, in Izu Kōgen, beside the Kadowaki lighthouse. One of Izu's most spectacular views, appearing in the series.

An Izukyū-line station on the Izu Kōgen plateau, with its resort atmosphere beside the Jōgasaki Coast. The Izukyū company even issued Amanchu commemorative tickets.

The scenic Ashinoko Skyline mountain road runs along Hakone's western ridge. The shots where Shinji walks along the mountain trail, contemplating the sunset over Lake Ashi and meeting Kensuke taking pictures, were directly inspired by these viewpoints.

Historic station of the Tenryu Hamanako Line in Hamamatsu. Its railway facilities, including an active turntable and a semicircular wooden roundhouse designated as national cultural assets, served as the visual model for "Village-3" in the final movie 3.0+1.0.

The fictional 'Nankatsu City' doesn't exist, but Takahashi set the story in Shizuoka Prefecture, the historic capital of soccer in Japan. The geography and light of the manga evoke the Shizuoka coast. The real-life club Nankatsu SC, founded by Takahashi, competes in regional leagues.

Mount Omuro — The Meteorite Crater Model

Immense open camping meadow on the Asagiri plateau at 830 m altitude, with Fuji filling the horizon and nothing in between. It is the setting of the club's Christmas camp at the end of season one, one of the series' most beloved moments. After airing it became the most famous campground in Japan.
