Dōtonbori from river level

Dense buildings, huge signs and reflections on the water. The district Hiroya Oku photographed for GANTZ lends itself to a short visit: look around, follow the river and take in its scale.

The walk

2 references · one river section

Start around Ebisubashi and observe the relationship between bridge, buildings and signs. Hiroya Oku explained that he visited and photographed Dōtonbori for the Osaka arc. This establishes the district connection; it does not identify a particular fight at every corner.

Follow the open riverwalk towards Tazaemonbashi. If a riverside access is closed, use public streets and crossings at street level. Finish at the bridge, then return towards Namba or extend your visit independently.

This is a short walk to fit into an afternoon, with time to look and take photos. It is not a full half-day excursion or a timed itinerary. Visit by day or see the signs change at dusk. Dinner is optional.

The shared pin marks the Dōtonbori area, not an exact scene position. Observe from public space without blocking the bridge. This walk focuses on the Osaka arc and GANTZ:O, keeping live-action filming locations separate.

2Tazaemonbashi · end of the walkWalking waypoint · no scene claimedContext and visit

This bridge is the practical endpoint of the river walk. It is an orientation stop, not a claimed GANTZ scene. The pin marks the bridge and never requires entering a closed riverside section. Cruises, restaurants and attractions are outside the exterior walk.
